Preschoolers love read-aloud books and video-books! Here are some great sites to find read-alouds:

Japhet Preschool families,

As our distance learning begins one thing to remember is to allow time for play!  Although they won’t get the social skills of playing with friends, they can still use their imagination along with creativity.  Allowing children to get a writing utensil in their hand daily along with reading a story together will benefit all the preschoolers.  I will meet with the class throughout the week on Google Hangout and we will enjoy time together talking, singing, sign language, and yoga.  Please email me if you have any questions: carrie.huber@japhetschool.org.  This is not ideal, but we want to make it the best we can for the kids.  Try to enjoy your time with your family, look at this as a special time to make memories in your home.  I provided some of you with a packet of blank paper.  My goal for this is that each child draw, write, or color on each page once a day.  If you did not get one, just provide any kind of paper to your child once a day and keep it together.  This does not have to be turned in, it is just for the kids to have their own “journal” during this time. Check your email for more updates throughout this time.
