Does Japhet teach religion?

Religion is not taught at Japhet School. Our monthly character qualities provide a common language within the school community. They also serve as a focus for discussions during our weekly community assembly based on character. We teach our students how qualities such as gratitude, reliability, and humility — and 15 others that have universal value — can be put into action at home and at school.

Are there uniforms?

Students are in uniform on Mondays, when everyone in the building — including faculty and staff — wear a royal blue Japhet shirt and khaki pants or skirt. Other days of the week, students wear attire of their choice within reasonable guidelines for climate, modesty, and message appropriateness.

Where do your alumni attend high school?

Japhet School alumni attend a variety of high schools: independent, parochial, and public.

How do your alumni adjust to high school?

Our alumni adjust very well, often becoming leaders in their academic and social settings. They are well prepared to lead confidently due, in part, to their strong oral communication skills, their character education foundation, and the relationships they form with their teachers.
