Spring has finally arrived, and with its coming brings the hope of growth and renewal. During this challenging time, my wish for all is that we may find peace knowing that growth is inevitable and provides opportunities for new perspectives, vision, and progress.
As our Distance Learning program is fully operational and well established, I’m particularly proud of the partnership formed between teachers, students, and parents. This relationship has proven to be even more valuable to the success of our students’ engagement in learning. This past week I visited with Primary Class through Upper Class students to discuss the importance of our Distance Learning Code of Conduct and their desires to bring their best to the DL classroom. All students had the opportunity to ask questions, and the end results were thoughtful conversations and an increased understanding of their responsibilities during instruction. It’s always great to see the students engaged in learning and enjoying discussions with one another!
I’m thrilled to announce that Japhet School is growing — growing a STEM Science laboratory for our middle school students! Just a couple of months ago we applied to the Doris DiStefano Legacy Fund for a grant to purchase equipment for a hands-on STEM Science laboratory — and were awarded $10,000 to accomplish this goal! We are growing our academic experiences and planning exciting opportunities for our students!
Although we continue to face challenges, it’s more important than ever that we have hope that the future will bring growth and renewal, and a vision that includes progress and change for the benefit of all. Japhet staff and teachers are forward-thinking and seeking ways to bring even more enriching experiences to our students next school year.
As always, please contact me with your questions or concerns. I am here to help and support.
