VISIT
Japhet School expects that prospective grade-level students – those applying for first through eighth grades – visit their current and potential classroom for two full school days. This visit allows the students to explore the classroom, curriculum, school culture and the community. It also allows teachers to assess the academic and social strengths of each student.
Prospective Junior Kindergarten and Kindergarten students are expected to visit the classroom for a morning session which enables exploration by students and assessment by the teacher and staff.
Families interested in joining our Preschool and Pre-K program are expected to complete a student and parent morning visit. This visit lasts approximately 1.5 hours and affords teachers the opportunity to gauge the readiness of prospective students and to glean some insight into the relationship shared by the parent and child while providing parents with a look into the day of a Preschool student.
